Terms of Service
Last updated: May 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the AHAM app, website, and related services. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use AHAM
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use AHAM on behalf of an elder family member, you confirm you have their consent (or legal authority) to do so.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and devices secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@ahamcare.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. The service
AHAM provides tools, content, and connections to support the emotional and cognitive wellbeing of elders and their families. Some features (live therapy, care coordination, premium content) require a paid subscription.
Not a medical service. AHAM is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified clinician for medical questions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
4. Subscriptions and payments
- Subscription prices, billing cycles, and trial terms are shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in our refund policy.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before the next renewal.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AHAM for anything illegal, harmful, or that violates someone’s rights.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship to an elder.
- Attempt to access, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malware or content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of journal entries, messages, photos, and other content you submit. You grant AHAM a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and the people you connect with.
7. Care professionals
Therapists, counsellors, and caregivers introduced through AHAM are independent professionals, not AHAM employees, unless explicitly stated. AHAM verifies credentials but is not responsible for the clinical judgment or actions of any individual professional.
8. Intellectual property
The AHAM name, logo, app, website, and original content are owned by AHAM and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our written permission.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AHAM disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AHAM and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid AHAM in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using AHAM at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
