What Is the Loneliness Risk Index — and Why Families Need One

If you've ever asked "is mum okay?" and not known what to do with the answer, the Loneliness Risk Index was built for you.
What it measures
It blends five inputs — mood check-ins, routine consistency, social engagement, sleep regularity and conversational tone — into a single 0–10 number that updates daily.
How to read it
- 0–3 (low): green. Continue current rhythm.
- 4–6 (moderate): amber. Increase contact, suggest a new ritual, watch for two weeks.
- 7–10 (high): red. Escalate to a counsellor or in-person visit.
Why a single number helps
Families don't need more data. They need a way to know when to act. The Index turns guesswork into a decision.
